Why use a necklace extender:
Our 4 inch long necklace extender allows you to adjust each necklace up to 4 inches longer. Some of our customers use two at a time to make a necklace up to 8 inches longer. A Necklace Extender makes necklaces available for any size, any outfit and any season. With the use of a necklace extender any of our necklaces even look great on turtle neck sweaters as well as open neck dresses.

How to use a necklace extender:
Take the clasp of the necklace extender and attach it to the non-clasp end of the necklace. Then take the clasp of the necklace and hook it anywhere in the extender chain you want for the length you need.

Most of our longer necklaces are made to be adjustable shorter. There are two ways to do this. Welcome to shortening lesson 101:

1. If you want to shorten it a little bit, hook the clasp of the necklace down the chain on the other side.

2. If you want to shorten it a lot, put the necklace around your neck and pull it up to where you want to wear it. Then pinch both sides of the chain together at the back of your neck. Holding the chain where you've pinched it bring the chain at the back around front (the pendant will go to the back). Looking in the mirror take the clasp of the necklace and first hook it into the chain on its own side where you've pinched it, then in addition hook the clasp into the chain on the other side as well. Once the clasp is hooked into both sides swing the chain around back and the pendant to the front. This makes your necklace as short as you want it and keeps the front centered.

We mention in the description for each earring what kind of post or wire is used. Most of our customers do very well with everything we use. Also, take a look at our Jewelry Care Tips for earring suggestions.

If you have extra sensitive ears and have special needs, for an additional charge we can change many of the earrings to nickel free, surgical steel, sterling silver or 14K gold. Let us know what your needs are and we will do our best to support you.

French wires are the standard wires that simply go through the ear and do not lock in the back. They come in many different metals and styles. See samples below:

INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1 Side view of unopened Euro wire.	STEP 2 Hold the front part of the Euro wire then pull down on the lever in the back to open.
STEP 3 Hold the hook end of the Euro wire straight, then pull through your ear as shown. DO NOT angle it down until it is all the way through your ear. See step 4.	STEP 4 Once the end of the hooked part is through your ear, turn the wire down getting ready to clasp it shut.
STEP 5 Close the lever back over the hooked part of the wire. The Euro wire is now locked and you are ready to go.	STEP 6 Euro wires gently secure your earrings on your ears. They come in many different metals and styles.

We use a variety of metals. Our blackened Austrian crystal necklaces are a mix of metals from the flowers to the chain, all are electroplated in an antique black.

Victorian Silver is solid brass that has been plated in sterling, then antiqued and lacquered to prevent tarnishing, combined with a rhodium plated silver chain.

Victorian Brass is solid brass that has been antiqued and then lacquered to prevent tarnishing.

Victorian Black is solid brass that has been plated in an antique blackened finish which is then lacquered to prevent tarnishing. If you are sensitive to nickle order our styles in a different metal finish. Please call for assistance for your special needs: 303-439-0261

We use a variety of stones including Swarovski Austrian Crystal which is the best lead crystal made in the world for jewelry. We also use many semi-precious stones and natural pearls. Sometimes we use antique pieces, vintage/handmade glass beads and other unique items. All of these things are illustrated in the description of each item. This is a custom design made with antique crystal pieces, sterling silver and Austrian crystal beads. There was just as much draping in the back as in the front. It was redesigned for a woman who wore it in ballroom dance competition. Stunning jewelry like this can be designed for your special occasion. The cost is approximately $500 and up.
